Environmental Talk- Ecosystem Restoration
On 14th June 2021, Caroline Kibii and Keith Korir of Enviro Wild Initiative were invited for an environmental talk at Alpha radio.
The theme of the discussion was ecosystem restoration. The discussion was timely as it was just before world desertification day, and after launch of the UN’s decade on ecosystem restoration.
Some of the key issues discussed include;
- Climate change and food security
- Significance of planting trees as part of a national drive towards a 10% tree cover
- Restoration of water bodies because they are vital for human survival, livestock and biological diversity.
